PulsePoint Sports ("PulsePoint Sports," "we," "us") is a mobile app that helps families, players, and coaches follow youth sports tournaments: schedules, divisions, scores and standings when available, organizer news, nearby places, and partner offers. The app is developed and operated by Carter Ebare. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name and email address, and the role you choose when signing up (parent, player, or coach).
- Password: if you create an account with email and password, we store only a one-way cryptographic hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Your tournament selections: the sport, tournament organizer, tournament, division, and birth year you select, so the app can reopen where you left off.
- Messages to support: anything you send us by email.
- Staff content: if you have an organizer or staff account, the announcements, schedules, scores, offers, and images you post, along with a record of which account made each change.
Information from Sign in with Apple or Google
- If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an account identifier, your email address (which may be a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email"), and, the first time only, your name.
- If you use Sign in with Google, Google gives us an account identifier, your name, and your email address. We do not request access to your contacts, files, or other Google data.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: when the app talks to our servers, our hosting infrastructure records technical details such as IP address, the time of the request, the address requested, and the app/browser identifier. We use these to keep the service running and secure, including blocking abusive traffic.
- Offer views and taps: when a partner offer is shown or tapped, we record which offer, where it appeared, and the tournament. These records are not linked to your account.
- Sign-in session: a sign-in token stored securely on your device (in the iOS Keychain) and recorded on our servers in hashed form, so you stay signed in.
What we do not collect
- We do not access your device's location. "Nearby" places are found around the tournament venue, not around you.
- We do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To show the tournaments, divisions, schedules, news, and nearby places you select.
- To understand, in aggregate, how often partner offers are viewed and tapped, and to report those totals to partners.
- To respond to support requests, and to prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, and only as needed for them to provide their service:
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (United States) | Hosting, database, file storage, security | All app data described in this policy, stored encrypted |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple; maps on iPhone | Sign-in requests; map requests for the tournament area |
| Sign in with Google; nearby place listings; maps on Android | Sign-in requests; tournament venue coordinates and map requests for the tournament area (no account information) | |
| OpenStreetMap services | Nearby place listings and city locations | Tournament venue coordinates and city names (no personal information) |
| Viator (a Tripadvisor company) | Bookable tours and activities near the tournament | The tournament's area and dates (no personal information). If you tap Book now, you continue on Viator's website under its own privacy policy. |
| Expo | Delivering app updates | Technical device and app version information when the app checks for updates |
Tournament organizers and partners do not receive your name, email, or account details from us. They may receive aggregated totals, such as how many times an offer was viewed. If you tap a partner offer or an external link, you leave our app, and that website's own privacy policy applies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users or the public, or as part of a transfer of the app to a new owner, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep information
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Database backups: deleted account data can remain in encrypted backups for up to 14 days before it is overwritten.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Sign-in sessions: expire after 30 days, or immediately when you sign out.
- Offer view and tap records: only the most recent records are kept, and they are not linked to you.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app, open the Account tab and choose Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, preferences, and sessions from our live systems right away (backups as described above).
- Disconnect Sign in with Apple: on your iPhone, go to Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple, choose PulsePoint Sports, and stop using your Apple ID with the app.
- Access or correct your data: email support@pulsepointsports.com and we will respond within 30 days.
- Sign out: from the Account tab. This ends the session on our servers.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights, such as to know what we hold about you, to receive a copy, or to object to certain uses. Contact us to exercise them; we will not treat you differently for doing so.
Security
Connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Data is stored in encrypted form in a private database that is not reachable from the internet, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and access to production systems is restricted to authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities where required by law if a breach affects you.
Children
PulsePoint Sports serves youth sports, but it is intended to be used by parents, coaches, and players aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@pulsepointsports.com and we will delete it.
Where information is stored
We store information in the United States. If you use the app from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use your personal information, we will notify you before it takes effect, for example in the app or by email.
